Metamorphosis & Cultivation

Tonight I realized that I did not, as some people believe, bend or change who I am to fit what she wanted me to be. I did not change my life to follow hers. I met her doing what I loved, going to shows, listening to music, reading books, and making art. In the three years that we were together I continued that, and she allowed me to further explore the depths of a culture and scene that I am greatly in awe and appreciation of. This does not mean that without her I cease to be – that I must reinvent myself – but that I am now able to proceed on my own, unaccompanied, to pursue my desires, my loves, lusts, and adoration uninhibited by her influence, but also reverent of the things that she cultivated within me.

Prespares to storm your castle.

TAURUS
(April 20-May 20)

I don't mean to sound melodramatic, and I certainly don't want to encourage you to do something foolish, but if you've been pondering the possibility of storming the castle, this would be a good time to do so. What exactly am I implying with the phrase "storming the castle?" Well, anything that involves a brave effort to fight your way into the command centre of the empire, or a heroic attempt to take back the sanctuary you were exiled from, or a playful adventure in which you work your way into the heart of the king or queen.

I have done myself a great disservice. I became so mired in our love, in feeding the monster that became us, that I forgot to write. I forgot to keep myself alive. I didn’t realize as our love waned and was replaced by our own entrapment, that I became a thinner and thinner vision of myself consumed by you – a sacrifice for the greater good of us.

When you left, you left me with so little of myself. Once you were gone I had to learn the adjectives of myself. I had to redefine all that you had devoured in me.

I am preparing to begin again.

I expect that you'll be a force of nature in the coming days, the human equivalent of a divine intervention. In fact, you might want to give fair warning to friends and loved ones who assume that you have always been and will always be steady, placid, and mild. Otherwise they may be unduly freaked out when your intelligence explodes like a double rainbow or when you start emoting like a waterfall. They might accuse you of "not being yourself" when your laughter turns volcanic or your decisions hit with the force of the aurora borealis. It'll be interesting for you to notice which of your close cohorts responds most favorably to this outbreak of your elemental gifts.

I am the Sparrow.

Taurus from July 16th.

Cuckoo birds build no nests of their own. Instead, they rely on trickery to raise their young. The female cuckoo lays her eggs in the nest of a host whose eggs are similar in size and color. The host, often a sparrow, cares for the cuckoo's eggs as her own, and usually rears the hatchlings until they reach maturity. Does this behavior ring a bell? I suspect that something analogous is unfolding in your world. I'm alerting you to the situation so that you will be fully informed as you decide how to proceed. (P.S. I'm not saying this is a bad thing; just want you to acknowledge the truth.)
